The Rio Bravo Family Medicine Residency Program (RBFMRP) is a three-year postgraduate training program consisting of eight residency positions per year (PGY-1, PGY-2, & PGY-3). We are sponsored and housed within Clinica Sierra Vista (CSV) and are academically affiliated with the UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine. Our program home is located at East Niles Community Health Center, a Federally Qualified Health Center in Kern County, California.

Our very own faculty are contributing to advancements in patient care through published research. In a recent study, faculty researchers found that ultrasound-guided IUD insertion significantly reduced procedure time compared to conventional methods, while maintaining similar patient comfort levels. The findings highlight the potential for improved efficiency and enhanced training opportunities in teaching health centers.
